Sources of Web Open Design

If you haven’t been following things of late, here is what you need to know:

  • Open Source Web Design has returned with a new design and under the proprietorship of founder Frank Skettino.
  • Open Web Design has been launched under the auspices of Aaron “MonkeyManâ€? Nikula, who has been busy administering OSWD the last few years.
  • Open Web Templates has been started by John Leavitt.

Andreas Viklund has offered his opinion of the situation. It will be interesting to see how things develop in the future. I know from personal experience that while creating a site like that is a fun experience, maintaining them eventually becomes quite a lot of work.

  3. Mr. Viklund has some very good points there. Personally, I think that Open Web Design will do very well. But I hope that all sites will develop into something good. That is the point with forking!
